5 wrestlers, driver die in car crash in Sangli

Pune: Five wrestlers from Sangli and a driver died, and seven wrestlers were injured after their vehicle hit a tractor in Kadegaon tehsil in Sangli. The wrestlers were on their way home after a competition in Aundh, Satara.
The mishap took place in Wangi village at around 12 midnight on Friday. All the wrestlers practised at Kranti Wrestling Centre in Sangli. The deceased have been identified as wrestlers Shubham Gharge, Akash Desai, Vijay Patil, Saurabh Mane, Avinash Gaikwad and the driver, Ranjeet Dhanawade. The other wrestlers have been admitted to a government hospital in Miraj.
