India, US begin trade talks in nat’l Capital

New Delhi seeks to bring focus on bigger picture

New Delhi: India and the United States began two-day trade talks on Thursday in New Delhi with a team of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) meeting with Indian officials. The team from USTR includes Assistant USTR Christopher Wilson and Deputy Assistant USTR Brendan Lynch.
Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said on Thursday, “You are aware that the team is already here. It is represented by Wilson. We have a matching delegation from our side. When we engage on these issues, we have to keep in mind the bigger picture.”
