Pawars find Maval-Madha tough to crack

Mumbai: Consensus eluded NCP over the candidates for Maval and Madha Lok Sabha constituencies on Thursday, forcing the party to put off naming candidates for these seats even while coming out with its first list. Parth Pawar, the grandson of Sharad Pawar and son of Ajit Pawar, is the frontrunner for this seat. An official decision is still awaited as Pawar is still busy placating other claimants. A decision on who will contest Madha seat is also kept in abeyance, thanks to factionalism in the party. Earlier, Pawar had announced that he will fight the seat only to make a U-turn later.
