Assembly facelift nears completion

The renovation work of Vithalbhai Patel Bhavan, which houses the state Assembly, is nearing completion, and the renovated building will be inaugurated by Governor OP Kohli on February 19, the first day of the month-long Budget Session, officials said. The building has been given a facelift with an estimated expenditure of Rs120 crore.
The inauguration of the Assembly building was discussed during a meeting chaired by deputy chief minister Nitin Patel, and attended by senior ministers Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, RC Faldu, Saurabh Patel and Pradipsinh Jadeja, on Monday. They also chalked out the government's strategy for the upcoming Assembly session.
