Fire station at Sanwer Road yet to become operational

With establishment of Fire Station in Indore's biggest industrial area based at Sanwer Road awaiting commencement for the last two years, the 1200 plus industries in the area are all set to spend another summer under the scare of fire incidents.
Additionally, the industries are compelled to pay extra premium due to absence of fire fighting amenities in the area.
Mostly occupied by fire prone industries like PVC shoe makers, rubber manufacturers and plastic raw material (granule) producers and scrap dealers apart from steel and electrical units, the industries rely on sand buckets, foam extinguishers and dry extinguishers to counter fire till fire tenders arrive from nearby Laxmi Nagar fire station.
