Soham Diwadkar bags 1st prize in running at state athletics contest

Soham Diwadkar, 13, a Thanekar has bagged the first position in running at the recently-held Maharashtra state-level athletics championship in Balewadi, Pune.
Prior to this, Soham had earned two gold medals (one in long jump and running each) along with a special prize as best athlete at the Mumbai district athletics championship held in June. Soham participated in under-14 boys’ category and ran 100 metres race at the state-level championship. He took 12 minutes and 23 seconds to reach the finishing line for 100 metres.
