Senior citizens climb down 30 floors to escape massive fire

Meera Gupta had just entered the flat and wondered who came knocking on the door behind her. The 65-year-old was visiting her daughter’s family which resided on the 28th floor of the B wing of BeauMonde tower.
“The person knocked said that there was fire and we needed to rush. We were five of us, including the maid. My daughter’s father-in-law who is 85 years old, and my 69-year-old husband, had just sat for lunch. We somehow managed to climb down the floors,” said Gupta. Her grandchildren were in school when they fire broke out.
