PMT racket: Police seize hard disc, one more arrested

After interrogation of Dr Sagar, police held 2 VYAPAM employees for involvement in racket

After arrest of two employees of MPPEB in connection with the statewide admission racket in medical colleges through fraudulent means, police arrested an assistant programmer of VYAPAM for his involvement in the Munnabhai racket on Friday.
Additional SP crime branch Dilip Soni said that after investigation, police arrested assistant programmer of MP Profesional Examination Board CK Mishra for his involvement in PMT racket and also seized a computer hard disc from his office. Mishra was also the in charge of PMT this year and department is contemplating to suspend him.
Besides, after startling revelations in the PMT racket after arrest of kingpin doctor Jagdish Sagar, it was decided that the roll numbers of the imposter candidates arrested a day before PMT on July 7 this year, will not be considered in the results.
After interrogation of doctor Sagar, police had arrested two employees Nitin Mahendra and Ajay Sen of VYAPAM for their involvement in the PMT racket as they used to allot roll numbers in a sequence to imposter candidates and aspirant candidates in lieu of money given by Sagar.  A decision to withheld promotions and increment of Nitin and Ajay was also taken by their department. 
Police claimed that the above accused used to help running the Munnabhai racket and receives hefty sums in lieu from doctor Sagar.
Police have to scan the hard disc recovered from Mishra to get deta ils about the names of candidates and other significant facts.
A case of fraud against assistant programmer Mishra was also registered at Rajendra Nagar police station.
