Deccan Rovers in final; VOBA pip PFC

Pune: Deccan Rovers prevailed over DSK Shivajians (Super & 1st divisions) 8-7 in the semifinal of the Major KP Jadhav memorial football tournament, at the St Vincent’s school ground, here on Tuesday.
After the teams failed to break the deadlock, Deccan Rovers proved better from the dreaded spot to make it to the final. They take on the winners of Bombay Engineering Group and Vincentians Old Boys Association (VOBA) in the final slated for April 11.
A goal in each session saw VOBA outgun Pune FC in the quarter final later in the day.Riyan Yadgiri and Shibu Tomy were the scorers for VOBA. Altamash Sayed scored the lone goal for Pune FC.
