RAIT's fest, which starts on Feb 26, covers from adventure to sports, thrill to casual, photography, personality, talent, sin city, art, drama and much more

Nerul: Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology's (RAIT) festival, Horizon, has entered its 22nd year. The festival has had an astounding footfall of more than 25,000 students every year. This year, the three-day fest starts from February 26.
RAIT is nestled in the Dr DY Patil campus, which also houses the world-class DY Patil stadium. "A short glimpse into Horizon's past will show you how deep the spirit of Horizon is rooted within the student community. The festival covers a wide range of genres ranging from adventure to sports; thrill to casual; photography, personality, talent, sin city, technical, art, drama and many more," says Vaibhav Biradar, joint secretary in the student union council.
"This broad spectrum has been created for the students with different passions and interests to come forth and participate," he adds.
The main attraction of the fest is the fashion show. This event surely adds to the fest's glamour quotient. And it is quite a hit among the students as many pour in to watch the theme-based event. Footloose is another event where prominent personas from the world of dance grace the stage. These are events where the novice can also exhibit their talent amongst the masters in the field.
What gets the crowd grooving is nothing nut good music. And the student council has put in all it takes to bring together the premier international EDM artistes to rock the festive night. This year, StadiumX and Sandro Silva would be taking charge of the stage, engulfing the crowd in international music.
That's not it, vocalist Suraj Jagan, who has contributed to the world of music with famous Bollywood songs like Give me some sunshine from 3 Idiots and Jehreele from Rock On to name a few.
The live concert will be at the convocation ground on the second night of the festival and the student council is expecting a footfall of around 5,000.
"Every passing year, Horizon and Agog have gone hand-in-hand in promoting talents — new and old alike — while taking things to the next level," says a student. The festival has 24 day events and three major night events.
