1.6 cr kids to be given measles, rubella vaccine

Gandhinagar: As many as 1.6 crore kids of Gujarat will be vaccinated for measles and rubella in a drive initiated by the central government. The drive will start from July 16 in the state, wherein kids aged between 9 months and 15 years will be vaccinated in 35 days.
Commissioner of Health, Jayanti Ravi, said, "We will strive to achieve 100 per cent of the target set for vaccination in Gujarat and we will take the help of Anganwadi workers, and staff of the health department for the same. We will also seek the support of NGOs, commoners, and government machinery to make this possible to protect our future generations from contracting such diseases."
