65-year-old woman murdered

On Thursday afternoon, a complaint was lodged with the Vastrapur police station after a 65-year-old woman was murdered and looted by an unidentified person while she was alone at home.
The incident took place at around 4.50 pm, in the Vidhyanagar society of Keshwabaug area. The deceased was identified as Meena Jog.
According to the police, Meena lived with her husband in the house while her son lived in a separate house. When Meena's husband left the house to buy something in the afternoon, an unidentified person knocked at her door. When she opened the door, the accused attacked her with a weapon and started stealing valuables. Meena died on the spot, while the accused fled away with the valuables.
