The Delhi High Court has allowed the Delhi University to declare the results for the post of president as per schedule in the student union polls which were held on Tuesday. In doing so, Justice Indermeet Kaur modified an earlier order in which she had asked the varsity not to declare the poll results and keep them sealed.
Delhi University had filed a plea on Tuesday which had sought the modification of an earlier order passed by the court on September 8. In its plea, the University stated that partial counting of votes would not be feasible as electronic voting machines (EVM) are being used to conduct the polls.
