Metro station works in full steam

The three-storeyed underground metro station at Choti Chaupar has begun to take shape some 20 metres under the ground. The tunnels are ready and platforms are in the process of being readied. Work for laying of tracks, signalling and electrification is scheduled to begin soon.
The Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation (JMRC) is completing the work on a war footing as it plans to begin operations before the term of the current government comes to an end.
DNA team visited the metro corridor from Chandpol to Badi Chaupar to take a close look at the much-awaited metro stations at Choti Chaupar and Badi Chaupar that have almost taken shape. With over three fourths of the work complete, the two stations are a delight to the eye. Read full story
