India submits papers to ICJ in Jadhav case

New Delhi: India on Wednesday submitted its written arguments, known as memorial to registrar Philippe Couvreur of the
International Court of Justice (ICJ) at Hague, in the case of former Indian Navy officer Kulbhushan Jadhav sentenced to death by Pakistan on charges of spying.
Four Indian officials handed over the memorial citing egregious violation of Vienna Convention on Consular Relations 1963 by Pakistan. “This is in furtherance of our Application filed before the Court on May 8, 2017,” said the MEA spokesperson, in response to a question.
