Battle For Vote Civic Polls 2012

The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) may be pitched against its own former party member Rajan Raje in Thane for the civic polls.
Raje, on Wednesday, announced the formation of his party, Dharma Rajya Paksha, in presence of former justice BG Kolse-Patil, and thousands of his supporters in Thane.
"The MNS used me for elections, but my ideas were never accepted," said Raje.
He announced that his party will contest from nearly 80 places in the upcoming Thane Municipal Corporation elections.
An advocate by profession, Raje had contested the last Lok Sabha elections as MNS candidate and secured 1.35 lakh votes against Shiv Sena. In 2009, he was again an MNS candidate for assembly polls where he gave a tough fight to Sena candidate and former mayor Rajan Vichare.
Considered one of the successful member of MNS, Raje suddenly decided to part ways reportedly after a dispute with the party chief Raj Thackeray.
Incidentally, Raj Thackeray had launched the MNS from Thane in March 2006.
