Christmas is a festival of joy and giving. It is that time of the year when gifts are exchanged everywhere. While most of the children have already made a list of gifts to ask from Santa, there are many unfortunate children for whom going to a school is a gift in itself. On this Christmas, you can sponsor a child’s study material through Umang Foundation. Umang Foundation is a NGO that has planned to celebrate Christmas by helping underprivileged children to study and a donation of Rs 300 will help a child to study. “We urge you to celebrate the spirit of giving on the eve of Christmas by making a financial contribution towards the education material of the underprivileged children. This Christmas step ahead and be a part of the initiative to educate the children,” Ashish Goyal, founder and trustee of Umang Foundation, said. Umang Foundation was founded in 2008 and has over 450 working professionals including doctors, engineers, senior citizens, students, house wives, etc. With its `Promote Education’ initiative they have helped more than 9200 children in last four years and aim to support 10,000 children every year. In year 2011, they have provided education material to 5,500 children and aim to increase this number to 10,000 by April 2012.
