First cabinet meet of new govt today

Gujarat government's first cabinet meeting will be held on Wednesday. This is the first meet after portfolios were allocated to ministers.
Chief minister Vijay Rupani will ask all ministers to prepare the budget proposals for their concerned departments. The ministers and the secretaries will be briefed by the CM on the first budget of the new government. The state government will present its first budget in the last week of February.
The cabinet will also review the purchase of groundnut and cotton from farmers at minimum support prices, the caveat petition by the education department on implementation of fees regulation committee and other issues
