New Delhi/Islamabad: Remember Hamid Nehal, the Indian youth who illegally went to Pakistan to meet a girl he had met online, but was arrested and spent three years in a Pakistan jail? Turns out he wasn’t the only one who moved borders for love. Tina, a girl from Chandigarh, had reportedly visited Pakistan in October 2018, and even converted to Islam, in order to marry a Pakistan national. But today, she finds herself trapped, as her husband Suleman has kept her in captivity.
India has raised the issue of Tina with Pakistan repeatedly, but Islamabad’s response is still awaited. New Delhi has even sent four note verbales, but still got no response.
