Budding talents at Bal Mahotsav

Young artistes showcased their talent at the Bal Mahotsav 2013, which was held on Sunday at AK Joshi Bedekar School. It was organised by the Prarambh Kala Academy and co-sponsored by Pitambari.
Prarambh Kala Academy has taken this initiative for the first time in the last 10 years. More than 3,000 people from across Mumbai and Thane attended the event. People in the age group of six and 70 took part in a group dance, story telling, mono-acting and magic show.
This was followed by Marathi plays, which were enacted by the children from San Yeti Ghara and Bhitra Rajaputra academy and directed by Arundhati Bhalerao, founder and director of the academy.
“I conduct classes for compering, acting and personality development in AK Joshi Bedekar School. Different workshops are also organised for women at regular intervals. I feel proud to see my students putting up such a great show.”
The chief guest for the evening was MNS leader Sudhakar Chauhan. Also present were managing director of Pitambari, Ravindra Desai, actor Uday Sabnis and the chairman of Gopinath Patil Sahakari Bank, Ranjith Patil.
